Alia Bhatt’s next film Gangubai Kathiawadi has come under controversy during the making. Gangbai’s family objected to the film on December 22 in Bombay City Civil Court against Hussain Zaidi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt. The three celebs have been given time to reply on this matter by 7 January 2021.

A film is being made on Hussain Zaidi’s book

The shooting of the film continues these days at Filmcity in Mumbai. About six and a half crores have been spent on designing the set for the shoot. Based on Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’, this film will show the story of Don Gangubai. Gangubai was a big name for the Mumbai Mafia in the 60s. She is said to have been sold by her husband for just five hundred rupees. Since then, she had become involved in prostitution. During this time he also did a lot of work for forced girls.

Ajay Devgan will have a cameo in the film

Ajay Devgan’s cameo will also be seen in the film. People associated with the writing team said that Bhansali has not yet signed Alia’s opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Ajay Devgan is also not opposite Aaliya. They are in the role of their mentor.

There will be two different time zones in the film

The film is set in two different time zones. One part is pre-partition, while the other is set in the eighth decade. Bhansali has been there more than 10 times to show the 1946 Kamathipura and has also met several old architects to give the set a real look. However, a small portion of the fourth decade will be seen in the film. The remaining 80 percent of the film is set in the seventh decade.
