The administration demolished the attempt to install the statue of former Cabinet Minister Pandit Harishankar Tiwari in his native village Tada in Barhalganj area of ​​Gorakhpur on his 88th birth anniversary.

The statue was to be installed on August 5, but on Wednesday the tehsil administration along with a large police force demolished the foundation under construction with a bulldozer. During this, a heated debate also took place between the administration and the villagers.

Claimed that permission was given to install the statue
SDM Gola Raju Kumar said that the statue was being installed on public land without permission. Village head Dayashankar Tiwari said that the village panchayat had unanimously passed a resolution and decided to install the statue and had also received verbal permission from the SDM. Despite this, permission to install the statue was not given due to local political pressure.

Administration officials reached the spot and explained to the people.

The administration demolished it with a bulldozer without any notice
In fact, on July 21, village resident Dr. Raja Vashisht Tripathi wrote a letter opposing the installation of the statue on public land, a copy of which was sent to many high officials. The administration suddenly demolished the foundation under construction with a bulldozer on Wednesday afternoon without any notice. Protesting against this action, the villagers accused the administration of spreading anarchy.

Action taken due to political chaos
Former MLA Vinay Shankar Tiwari said that this action has been taken due to the worst culmination of arrogance of power. He appealed to his colleagues and supporters to maintain patience and peace, and also assured that this injustice will be answered in a legal and dignified manner.

The dispute between the administration and the villagers over the installation of the statue in Tada village is deepening. The administration says that the statue was being installed on public land without permission, while the villagers claim that they had received verbal permission. This dispute has created an atmosphere of tension in the village.
