Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the convocation of Visva-Bharati University on February 19 today. According to the notification issued in this regard, Prime Minister Modi will address the function through video conferencing at 11 am today. During this period, the Governor of West Bengal and the Rector of Vishwabharati Jagdeep Dhankar, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will also be present.
2,535 students will get degree
A total of 2,535 students will be awarded degrees in this ceremony. Visva-Bharati University at Santiniketan was founded in 1921 by Rabindranath Tagore. It is the oldest Central University in the country. In May 1951, Visva-Bharati University was declared a Central University under an Act of Parliament.
Was also involved in Tezpur University’s program
Earlier, PM Modi had also addressed the 18th convocation of Tezpur University in Assam. In this program through video conferencing, he addressed the students and said that the new education policy strengthens our education policy for data analysis, which will help in the whole process of admission, teaching and evaluation.
