Examinations are once again being affected in the country amid the ever increasing cases of corona. In such a situation, schools have been closed in many states. Apart from this, board examinations have also been postponed in many states including CBSE board. Let’s know about the latest updates about various board exams so far-

CBSE Board

In view of the increasing cases of Corona, the Center on Wednesday made a major and necessary decision for CBSE students. The government has canceled the examinations of class 10 starting May 4 and has now deferred the exams for class 12. The government will decide on the 12th examination on 1 June. If it is decided to take the exam, then students will be given 15 days time, that is, the exam will be done only after June 15.

Rajasthan Board

Rajasthan Board has also postponed the 10th-12th examinations to be held in the state. In this regard, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday shared a post on social media, that, due to the second wave of Corona transition, the state government has taken an important decision, postponing the examinations of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education’s 10th-12th board. . Apart from this, students of class 8, 9th and 11th will be promoted in the next class without examination.

Himachal Pradesh Board

The Himachal Pradesh Board has also postponed two more matriculation examinations for the time being. Matriculation and deposit two examinations started in the state from April 13. But examinations have been postponed in view of the situation. The new datesheet will be released later for the remaining examinations of HP Board Matriculation and Submission 2.

Punjab Board

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has also postponed the 12th examinations till May 30, 2021, like other board examinations. The board will take its next decision after a review by CBSE on 1 June 2021. Apart from this, the decision will be taken by the state board for the exams of class 10th, 8th and 5th. The 12th examinations in the state were to be held on April 20 and the 10th examinations from May 4.

Jharkhand Board

The demand for postponement of the 10th and 12th examinations of the Jharkhand Board has also arisen since the CBSE examinations were postponed. The state board’s class 10 exams are scheduled to be held from May 4, which is being demanded to be canceled like CBSE and postpone the class 12 exams.

Maharashtra Board

The state board will also consider canceling the 10th examinations after the Maharashtra government took a decision on the CBSE board examinations on Wednesday. At present, the 10th and 12th examinations in the state have been postponed. The exams for both the classes were to start from the end of this month.

Madhya Pradesh Board

Madhya Pradesh Board has also postponed the state’s 10th and 12th board examinations for 1 month. These exams are now to be conducted in the month of June. Earlier these examinations were to start from 30 April and 1 May 2021.

Chhattisgarh Board

In Chhattisgarh too, Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education has postponed the 10th and 12th board examinations in view of the ever increasing corona cases. The board gave this information on the official website, cgbse.nic.in, on 9 April. The 10th examinations in the state were to start from April 15 and run till May 1.

Uttar Pradesh Board

The Uttar Pradesh government has also postponed board examinations amid growing Corona infection in the country. As of now, the new dates for the examinations have not been announced. The new dates can be decided by May after review. Earlier, the examinations were postponed due to panchayat elections in the state. This year, about 56 lakh students are going to appear in the 10th-12th board examinations of Uttar Pradesh.
