Matches are being played on only 4 grounds
To save the tournament from Corona, all 70 matches of the league are being played on the grounds of Mumbai and Pune. The matches in Mumbai are being played at Wankhede, Brabourne Stadium and Dr DY Patil Stadium. At the same time, the match in Pune is being hosted by MCA Stadium.

However, after the first corona case surfaced in the current season, the tension of BCCI must have increased. Delhi team will play its 5th match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday.

IPL returns to India after 2019
The last 2 seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL) were played in the UAE. Due to Corona virus, both the last seasons of IPL were played in UAE, but this time the tournament returned to India. Although IPL matches were played in India last year as well, IPL 2021 was halted midway after the Corona case surfaced and the remaining matches of the league were hosted by the UAE.

At the same time, young Kashmir fast bowler Rasik Salam, who played two matches for KKR this season, has been ruled out of the tournament due to a lower back injury. Delhi’s Harshit Rana will join KKR in his place at a base price of 20 lakhs.
