A Delhi player has become corona infected before the match with Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. According to sources, the corona report of a netballer present with the Delhi Capitals team has come positive. After this, along with that player, another player living in the hotel room has been quarantined.
Delhi has 4 matches left including today’s match. Delhi opener Prithvi Shaw has also been admitted to the hospital due to fever. While releasing the picture, Shaw said that he will soon be seen again in action.
However, the official statement has not been issued by IPL and Delhi Capitals yet.
The case of Corona has come in Delhi Capitals earlier this season as well.
This is not the first case of a Delhi Capitals player being corona positive in the 15th season of IPL. Earlier, four members of the coaching staff including two foreign players Tim Seifert and Mitchell Marsh of Delhi Capitals have tested positive.
Close to the head coach have also become infected
Corona has also been infected close to Delhi Capitals chief coach Ricky Ponting. After which Ponting had to stay in Quarantine for a few days. Because of which he was not present with the team in some matches.
Delhi’s match was shifted from Pune to Mumbai
The entire Delhi team was quarantined after 2 players and 4 other members of Delhi Capitals tested positive for Corona. At the same time, the match with Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals was shifted from Pune to Mumbai.
