The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the JEE Main Examination for the fourth phase to be held in May session amid rising cases of corona in the country. These examinations were to be held on 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 May. In this regard, Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ gave information through social media.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank gave information about this. He said that the JEE (Main) -May 2021 session has been postponed keeping in view the current situation caused by Corona and keeping in view the safety of the students.
Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students safety in mind, JEE (Main) – May 2021 session has been postponed.

A new date will be released later
Earlier, the NTA had also postponed the third phase of examinations to be held in April due to the ever increasing cases of corona. The April session examination was to be held from April 27 to April 30, 2021. As per the notification issued by NTA, new dates for the postponed examinations of April and May session of JEE Main Exam 2021 will be released later.
Examination will be done in year four session
This year, the JEE Main examination is being conducted in four sessions. Under this, the examinations of the first two sessions have already been completed in February and March. After which the examination for the third phase was to be held on 27,28,29 and 30 April. But, at the moment these have been postponed. According to the NTA, a total of 6,20,978 candidates appeared for the exam in February session, compared to 5,56,248 in March.
