There will be a merger between Viacom18 and Walt Disney: The ongoing merger talks between billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries, Viacom18 and Walt Disney Corporation have now been finalized. Both the companies signed an agreement on Wednesday. Under this, the television and digital streaming businesses of Viacom18 and Star India will be merged.

The valuation of the joint venture formed after this merger will be around Rs 70,352 crore ($8.5 billion), with which it will become the top player in the Indian entertainment sector.
