1. Three new astronauts reached the International Space Station: According to the World Clock on March 26, Russia's Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft reached the International Space Station at 8.33 pm. NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson, Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky and Belarusian spaceflight participant Marina Vasilevskaya were aboard this spacecraft.

- The hatch between the International Space Station and the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft was opened at 10.56 pm.
- After the arrival of new crew members at the space station, the total number of astronauts there has now increased to 10.
- 7 members of Expedition 70 are already present in the space station.
- The spacecraft was launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on March 23 at 6:26 pm IST.
- Dyson will spend 6 months on station as the Expedition 70 and 71 flight engineer.
- Dyson will return to Earth in September with Oleg Kononenko and Russia's Nikolai Chub.
- When Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub return from the space station, they will have spent one year.
- Cosmonaut Novitsky of Russia and Marina Vasilevskaya of Belarus will stay at the station for 12 days.
- NASA astronaut Loral O'Hara will also return with Novitsky and Vasilevskaya on April 6.
- When O'Hara returns to Earth in a Soyuz spacecraft, she will have spent 204 days in space.
- The International Space Station is approximately 400 kilometers above the Earth.

2. Ceasefire proposal in Gaza passed in UNSC: On March 25, for the first time, a resolution was passed in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for ceasefire in Gaza amid the 5 and a half month long war between Israel and Hamas. During this meeting held in the month of Ramadan, 14 out of 15 members voted in favor of the resolution, while America abstained from voting.
14 countries agreed to the proposal for ceasefire in Gaza, while America abstained from voting.
- This resolution demanded the immediate release of all hostages without conditions.
- It was asked to remove all obstacles to the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
- This is the first time that America did not vote on the ceasefire proposal.
- Before this, he has vetoed these proposals in UNSC thrice.
- UNSC resolutions are considered international law. It is necessary for the member countries to follow them.
- Israel is not a permanent or temporary member of the UNSC, so it is not bound to accept this proposal.
- Even if a resolution is passed in the Security Council, there is no way to implement it here.
- It is true that many sanctions can be imposed on Israel with the consent of the member countries.
- Israel has expressed displeasure over America's withdrawal from UNSC voting.
- UNSC has five permanent members, which include America, Russia, Britain, France and China.

3. Mumbai becomes the Billionaire Capital of Asia for the first time: Hurun Research's 2024 Global Rich List was released on March 26. According to this list, India's financial capital Mumbai has become the billionaire capital of Asia. Mumbai has achieved this position for the first time, leaving behind China's capital Beijing. There are 92 billionaires living in an area of 603 square kilometers here, whereas there are 91 billionaires in 16,000 square kilometers of Beijing.
- Mumbai has now reached third place in this list globally.
- There are 814 billionaires in China, while there are 271 billionaires in India.
- In the last one year, 26 new people have become billionaires in Mumbai, while 18 people in Beijing have been left out of this list.
- New York is at the first place, 119 billionaires live here, while London is at the second place, where 97 people are billionaires.
- Billionaires are those people who have assets worth more than 1 billion dollars i.e. about Rs 8,333 crore.
- The wealth of total 92 people of Mumbai has increased by 47% in a year to 445 billion dollars (Rs 37.09 lakh crore).
- The wealth of billionaires in the Chinese capital has declined by 28% to $265 billion (Rs 22.08 lakh crore).
- Among the world's top 10 billionaires, Mukesh Ambani (Rs 9.43 lakh crore) is the only Indian with wealth.

4. Adani Ports buys another port: On March 26, Gautam Adani's company Adani Ports has purchased another port. In the information released on the exchange, the company said that it has purchased 95% stake in Gopalpur Ports. This deal has been done for Rs 3080 crore. This will be the 14th port of Adani Ports.
- Adani Ports has purchased 56% stake from Shapoorji Pallonji Port Maintenance Pvt. Ltd.
- Shapoorji Pallonji Port Maintenance Private Limited is part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
- Apart from this, Adani Ports has purchased 39% stake from Orissa Stevedores Limited.
- Many types of dry bulk and break bulk cargo are handled at these ports.
- It is a deep draft, multi-cargo port, handling a diverse mix of dry bulk cargoes including iron, coal, limestone, ilmenite sand and aluminium.
- Adani Ports is India's largest private port operator and end-to-end logistics provider.

5. Mohammad Yusuf Wani became Additional Judge: On March 25, Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court N Kotiswar Singh administered the oath of office to Mohammad Yousuf Wani as Additional Judge in Srinagar. Justices Tashi Rabastan, Rajneesh Oswal, Vinod Chatterjee Kaul, Sanjay Dhar, Javed Iqbal Wani, Rahul Bharti, Moksh Khajuria Kazmi and Wasim Sadiq Nargal were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
Mohammad Yousuf Wani was appointed Additional Judge for 2 years.
- He joined the Judicial Service on 9 December 1997 and has served in various capacities.
- Before this, he had also practiced at the bar for three years.
- Now the number of judges in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has increased to 16 including the Chief Justice.
- This High Court has the approved power of 17 judges including 13 permanent judges and 4 additional judges.
