Now there will be no admission on the vacant seats of D.L.Ed.

There will be no admission on 1.43 lakh vacant seats of D.L.Ed 2021. The third counseling of the entrance examination which started after two years has been completed and now the examination regulatory authority has refused to conduct the counseling. The seats which have remained vacant include five per cent seats in District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), while 50 per cent seats in private colleges are vacant. In such a situation, due to the Korena epidemic for two years, the session of D.El.D.

Admission was not done after 2019

There is no admission in D.El.Ed since 2019. There was no admission in the session 2021-2021 due to covid-19. The government had declared the session void. The government started the process of admission in private sector colleges in July 2021. Three stages of the admission process were conducted. Despite this, about 50 per cent seats remained vacant. Only five per cent of the DIETs comprise the seats that remain vacant. If the management is worried about the vacant seats, on the other hand, PNP has stopped the counseling process. Sanjay Upadhyay, Secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority, says that now the preparations for the examination have been started. Access is not possible.

Here is the position of the seats

The number of district education training institutes in the state is 65. The total number of DElEd seats is only 10,600. The number of private sector DElEd colleges in the country is 3200. The total number of D.El.Ed seats in these colleges are 2,32,400.

What is the reason for vacant seats

The biggest reason behind the vacant seats has been the closure of counseling. Apart from this, economic exploitation of students in private colleges is also a big reason. Now more preference is being given to B.Ed than D.L.Ed. There are more chances of jobs after B.Ed as compared to D.El.Ed.
