The world cannot be imagined without birds

  • Birds play an essential role in the eco system created by nature. Birds control many types of pests, serve as nature’s cleanup crews, and spread seeds. It has a direct impact on human health, economy and food production.
  • The average temperature in summer reaches around 50 degrees Celsius, especially in the northern parts of the country. Long-term temperature changes have actually had an adverse impact on urban wildlife.
  • In this sequence, the country’s largest media group Dainik Bhaskar has been running the ‘Save Birds’ campaign for the last several years. Under this campaign, we distribute thousands of sacks every year in different cities of the country.
  • Under this campaign, we urge all of you to keep food and water in bowls for birds on the terrace, balcony or courtyard of your house during summer. This small effort of all of us can make the life of birds easier in the scorching heat. Like nature, taking care of birds is also our responsibility.
