To make the daughters of Madhya Pradesh self-sufficient, they will learn the qualities of self-protection. Under this, girls in classes from 9th to 12th will be taught Master Arts. Director of Women and Child Development Swati Meena Nayak said that Aparajita will start the campaign from International Women’s Day (March 8).
Excellent schools in 311 development blocks of the state and 15 to 20-day training camp for girls from class 9 to 12 will be organized in selected government schools. In this, special training of self-defense sports activities, judo, karate and taekwondas will be given in collaboration with the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare.
The main objective of the training is not only to teach girls how to self-protect, but also to do a talent search of the girl students interested in this field. Competition will also be held in all the development blocks at the conclusion of the training and the first 10 talented girls will also be selected from each development block.
Certificate will be given after training
Certificates will also be provided to all participants after training. District Program Officers have been instructed to attend and screen the girls in training by coordinating with the District Sports Officers.
