The matter is of 18th September. Where a newborn baby had died due to the negligence of health workers and the illegal ritual of taking Neg. Complaint about which was made by the pregnant woman’s husband Surjit Singh to the Chief Minister Portal, District Officer and Chief Medical Officer. In which it was told that his wife Sanjali had labor pains late in the evening and her family took her to Karhal CHC. Here Sanjali was admitted and gave birth to a child.
Neg was asking for Rs 5100 The delivery nurse was demanding Rs 5100 from him in the form of money. When she expressed her inability to pay the money, the nurse wrapped her newborn baby in a cloth and placed it on the table and did not give the baby to her. After about 40 to 50 minutes, he arranged for the money and gave it to the nurse. Then he placed her newborn baby in her hands. By then the condition of her newborn baby had deteriorated. The nurse said, take him to Saifai Hospital. When he reached Saifai Hospital, his child died as soon as he reached the hospital. After the matter came to light in the media, the Deputy CM took cognizance of it.
CMO RC Gupta said that as soon as cognizance of the matter was received, a three-member inquiry committee has been formed. Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vijendra Singh, Dr. Sanjeev Rao Bahadur and District Program Manager Sanjeev Kumar Verma have been included in the investigation team. Who will submit the complete investigation report to me in 3 days. No employee should create any disturbance during the investigation. Regarding which orders have been given to transfer the accused contract staff nurse Jyoti Bhadauria to Vichhwa Primary Health Center in Sultanganj.
Action will be taken against the culprits Deputy CM took cognizance of the matter. He ordered CMO Mainpuri to investigate the matter. Also, Divisional Additional Director of Health and Family Welfare Department, Kanpur has been instructed to conduct an investigation on the spot. The Deputy CM has given instructions to call for the report of the entire episode within a week. He said that negligence in investigation will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict action will be taken against the culprits.
