The highly anticipated film Lucky Baskhar, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary, has hit theatres today on October 31. Written and directed by Venky Atluri, Lucky Baskhar is a multilingual film released in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada. The film has raised expectations among fans since it was announced. According to the reports, Telugu movie tickets for Lucky Bhaskar started 2 days before its release. Within hours of starting the bookings, the film received excellent bookings in the states of Andhra, Tamil Nadu and Dubai.
But the film has faced a big backlash in Kerala. Even after 2 days of booking, the film has not been able to make a big breakthrough in ticket sales. Expecting pre-sales of over Rs 1 crore in Kerala, the film is said to achieve pre-sales of over Rs 20 lakh. Further reports suggest there are concerns that the film is not getting huge bookings in Kerala because it is a Telugu film.
Presented by Sreekara Studios. More than 100 premiere shows have been arranged in Andhra and Telangana states from 6 pm today for the film and all of them have received excellent bookings.
Earlier, the makers released the trailer for the upcoming Telugu drama. In the trailer posted on the official YouTube channel of Sithara Entertainment, Dulquer Salmaan plays the role of a commoner in the trailer who is ready to go the extra mile for his family. He plays the role of a bank cashier who gets caught in the web of wealth and greed.

Before this, the makers unveiled the 1-minute, 19-second teaser of Lucky Baskhar. The clip introduces us to Bhaskar, a simple-looking man working as a bank cashier. As the teaser unfolds, we learn about his earnings, seemingly in crores with bricks of gold. It suggests that he may be hiding behind the facade of a middle-class man with undisclosed motives.
Alongside Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary, the film also stars Surya Srinivas, Kishore, Raju Vasistha, Ramki and Rithvik.
