The hearing of the accused of robbery was held in the Fast Track Court (II) of Varanasi District and Sessions Court. According to the prosecution, on the night of 28/29 May 2024, the applicant’s nephew Jai Singh Yadav was going to Sonbhadra with a truck to bring gravel from home. After descending from Vishwasundari Bridge, on Mirzapur Road towards Tengra turn, miscreants riding a motorcycle stopped his vehicle, got into the vehicle and snatched Rs 55 kept in the pocket of the pants of the applicant’s nephew who was driving the vehicle and fled towards Mirzapur. He told that the number of that vehicle Splendor Plus was UP63K3036.

Advocate Varun Pratap Singh, on behalf of the defence, argued in the court that the police of Ramnagar police station called Vikas at around 2:50 in the night saying that they would release him after investigation and took him to the police station. After going to the police station, the police’s intentions became bad and they misused their position and challaned the accused in the said false case.

The lawyer argued that the accused have neither committed any robbery nor any money has been recovered from the accused. Due to this, the bail petition has been granted. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the judge accepted the bail petition of the accused.
