Police has solved the case of the death of 28-year-old Poonam in Dubagga area of Lucknow. Satish Rajput, son of Guddu alias Ramswaroop, a resident of Sheetalkheda village, had committed the murder. Satish was angry with Poonam because she did not stop talking to him.

DCP West Durgesh Kumar said that on June 11, Rajesh Rawat complained to the police that his daughter Poonam has been murdered. The body was found 200 meters away from the house. He suspected the neighbors. On this information, three police teams were formed. When evidence was collected with the help of surveillance, CCTV and informers, investigation revealed that the neighbors have no involvement in this incident, but Satish Rajput, a resident of Sheetal Kheda, a nearby village, was found present after the incident. He was taken into custody and questioned.
The accused said that he and the deceased were in a love affair. He wanted to marry her. For the past few years Poonam was not talking much. Due to this he used to see her secretly at night. When Poonam came out of her house that night, Satish stopped her on the way. He started asking her the reason for not talking to him. When Poonam did not give any answer, he strangled her in anger.
After this, he carried the body on his shoulders and threw it on the road next to Poonam’s relative’s house. The accused was arrested on Saturday morning. The slippers and mobile have been recovered on the indication of the accused. The mobile was given to Poonam by the accused.

Poonam Rawat (28), daughter of Rajendra Prasad Rawat, a resident of Jehta, has died. The body was found near the house and there were injury marks on Poonam’s neck. The post-mortem confirmed that she was strangulated to death.
The deceased’s younger sister Namita said that father keeps a cart at Jehta crossing. We are three sisters. I work in a hospital and I went to the hospital at around 9 pm. The family members also had dinner and went to sleep by 11 pm.
On Tuesday morning around 5 am, a person told our brother-in-law (aunt’s son-in-law) that Poonam was lying on the road. When brother-in-law went to see her, she was not breathing. After this, the police was informed. The family expressed the suspicion of murder. They said that we have a dispute with our neighbors regarding land. The neighbors often threatened to kill us.
