Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has returned to the capital Lucknow from his two-day visit to Delhi. The CM met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. The meeting of the CM with the PM was considered very special. Yogi Adityanath explained in detail about the work done during the Corona period. He also expressed his gratitude for the guidelines and prompt cooperation received by the Central Government in the management of Kovid. There was a discussion for about a quarter of an hour on many topics including the public interest of PM Modi and CM Yogi. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Kovid management of UP.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence in New Delhi this afternoon. After this, CM Yogi has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to PM Modi. In his tweet, he has said that ‘I had the privilege of receiving courtesy visit and guidance from respected Prime Minister in New Delhi today. Heartfelt thanks to the respected Prime Minister for providing time to meet our hectic routine and for giving spiritual guidance.
In the meeting of PM and CM, there was also discussion about the development works done in Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi also gave information about the major development works done by the government and the projects to be completed in the near future.
UP gave priority to livelihood along with life
CM Yogi told PM Modi how in the second wave of Corona, he gave priority to livelihood along with life in UP and implemented partial corona curfew in the state as compared to other states. During this, following the guide line of Corona, the industries also continued to operate and wheat procurement was also done. Keeping in view the interests of the farmers, the mandis and sugar mills also continued to operate.
Government stands with the poor and needy
CM Yogi told PM Modi that the Uttar Pradesh government is standing with the poor and needy during the Corona period and is helping them in every possible way. Recently, 23 lakh workers working in the organized sector have been given an allowance of Rs 1000. Verification of more than 14 lakh eligible persons has been done to give Rs 1000 allowance to daily wage earners and eaters, street vendors etc. Soon they too will be benefited. Instructions have been given to expedite the work of providing employment at the local level through MNREGA. In rural areas, 17 lakh laborers are working under MNREGA. In the last one month, about five and a half times the number of laborers has increased.
Worked with a vision to trace, treat and treat
The CM said that during the Corona period, work has been done considering trace, treat and treatment as the goal. During this, out of 24 crore population of the state, door to door screening of 18 crore people has been done so far through surveillance. More and more tests are being conducted in rural areas, since March 31 till now 70 percent of the tests have been done in rural areas.
To break the chain of infection, during the weekly bandh, fogging, sanitization and cleanliness campaigns are being conducted in rural areas and urban areas. In this campaign, 86,700 workers have been employed in rural areas and 82,000 in urban areas.
CM gave three books to PM
CM Yogi has presented three books to PM Modi. The first book is about a Harvard University study on better management of migrants in the first wave of corona in Uttar Pradesh. The second book is based on a study conducted by John Hopkins University on better management of the migrant crisis in Uttar Pradesh and the third book is based on district-level GDP.
