In Chitrakoot, there is resentment among the heads over the seizing of the accounts of the Gram Panchayats and the payment for the maintenance of the cows preserved in the cow shelters. Angry Pradhans demonstrated with slogans in the Collectorate on Monday and handed over a five-point demand letter to the DM on behalf of the Pradhan Sangh. He said that due to closure of Panchayat accounts, development work in the villages has been disrupted. Due to non-payment of maintenance of cows, there are problems in running the cowshed.
