As soon as the festive season starts in Gonda, the police and administration in the district have started taking full vigilance. In this connection, an important district level meeting was held under the leadership of District Magistrate Neha Sharma and Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal in the District Panchayat Auditorium on Monday evening.

The District Magistrate ordered all the officials to make strict arrangements to ensure that no untoward incident happens in the upcoming festivals. At the same time, Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal appealed to the people present that no person should indulge in any activity that hurts religious sentiments.
Beware of rumours, inform the police immediately
Officials urged everyone not to pay heed to any kind of rumours. Apart from this, the Superintendent of Police clarified that if any person posts anything that spoils the atmosphere on social media or tries to spread propaganda, strict action will be taken against him. The officials made a special appeal to the youth of the district to behave responsibly on social media.
Appeal to maintain peace and harmony in the district
Additional Superintendent of Police, all police station incharges, CO and SDM as well as religious leaders pledged to maintain peace and harmony in the district. During this time, the religious leaders also appealed to the citizens present to celebrate the festivals together peacefully.
