Deoria District Magistrate Akhand Pratap Singh today conducted a surprise inspection of a community health center and two primary health centers. During the inspection, the DM expressed displeasure over the lack of cleanliness in the hospitals and directed to improve it.

The District Magistrate first reached the Primary Health Center Mahen on Thursday. He obtained information about the OPD, which revealed that 61 patients had received medical consultation. During the inspection of the delivery room, dampness was found on the wall and the bedsheet was also not clean. On which the DM expressed displeasure. The DM instructed MOIC Dr. Rajendra Kumar to clean the health center premises. He also obtained information about anti-snake venom and also instructed to make people aware about protection from snakebite.

Obtain information about medical facilities
After this, the District Magistrate reached Community Health Center, Barhaj. Where he got information about the medical facilities being provided to the general public. MOIC Dr. Ajay Pal told the DM that today 237 patients received medical consultation in the OPD. All the patients were given free medicines. 32 tests were done in the lab and two patients got X-ray done. The District Magistrate directed to improve the dampness and cleanliness of the hospital rooms.

After this the District Magistrate reached PHC, Bhalwani. Dr. Naveen gave information about the Primary Health Centre. Here 58 patients visited OPD. The DM expressed displeasure on finding damp rooms and dirt and sought details of expenditure incurred on the maintenance of the health centre during the last three years. The DM said that all the health centres will be given a standard shape. During this, Deputy CMO Dr. Kartik Pandey, Tehsildar Barhaj Arun Yadav and various officers were present.
