DM inspected the flood affected villages.

In Ambedkar Nagar today, DM Avinash Singh reached Majha Ulthawa village of Tanda, a potential flood area, and took stock of the situation. Flood-like situation occurs almost every year in the potential flood area. However, the administration claimed that all preparations were made by the district administration before the floods arrived.

The DM took information about ration card, toilet, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana and other schemes. During the inspection, the DM directed that the houses in which toilets and houses have not been built yet should be identified and the eligible beneficiary should be benefited. On being asked by the DM, the Kotedaar present on the spot informed that in this village ration is distributed to the ration card holders on time.

Vaccination of animals is necessary
The veterinary doctor was directed to identify the animals in the village which have not been vaccinated and ear tagged yet and get them vaccinated 100%. Also, arrangements for straw etc. should be made in view of the possible flood. In view of the flood, the DM directed to provide five steamers so that the villagers here do not face any inconvenience in commuting during the flood.

Instructions for spraying anti-larvae
The district supply officer was directed to demand kerosene from the government for their food and lighting arrangements, so that they can light lamps with kerosene in the absence of electricity. Also, the chief medical officer was directed to keep the medical officer on tour in the village, so that the villagers have access to essential medicines for treatment. The District Magistrate, while instructing the village head and secretary, said that they should keep getting the village cleaned regularly, anti-larva spraying done, etc. No kind of dirt should be visible in the village. During this, the District Magistrate talked to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas, Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana built in the village and also inquired about their problems.
