These hot, spicy, crispy chicken pieces are always a mouth-watering delight. But their invention was never planned. Almost 60 years ago Teresa Bellissimo invented this dish after she placed an order for chicken necks but received chicken wings instead. So, she cleverly turned the chicken wings into a whole new dish. This historic incident took place at The Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, in 1964.
