Target to make Rae Bareli free from tuberculosis by 2025
Under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program in Rae Bareli, now Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Unani doctors of the AYUSH department of the private sector will also have to give information about TB patients on the NIKSHA portal. Action will be taken against the doctors who do not give information. This effort has been started to make the district tuberculosis free by the year 2025.

District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Anupam Singh said that the Prime Minister has set a target of 2025 to eradicate tuberculosis from the country. In this sequence, the information of TB patients has to be given by private AYUSH doctors on the NIKSHA portal. On referral of potential tuberculosis patients to the nearest health center for examination and confirmation of tuberculosis in the patient, an amount of Rs 500 per patient will be sent directly to the AYUSH doctor in the private sector.
Under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program all facilities are provided free of cost to the tuberculosis patients, so send the potential patient to the nearest health center by private sector AYUSH doctor.
Free screening of family members
He said that free of cost TB preventive treatment would be provided to the family members of the patient, screening of TB infection among close contacts and confirmation of infection in case of tuberculosis in any person. The District Tuberculosis Officer has appealed to all the private AYUSH doctors to give information about maximum tuberculosis patients and contribute actively in this campaign of eradication of tuberculosis. He said that cough for more than two weeks, loss of appetite, weight loss, chest pain and blood in cough, fever, night sweats are the main symptoms of tuberculosis.
