Security agencies have recovered a huge consignment of drug injections on the Nepal border in Maharajganj. Four smugglers have also been arrested. The smugglers used to supply drug injections in Nepal. After rigorous interrogation, the police sent all the accused to jail under the NDPS Act.

A joint team of police and SSB surrounded the area near Bariyahwa village of Nautanwa police station area and arrested four people after recovering a huge consignment of drug injections from them. The drug dealers were trying to smuggle the drugs to Nepal through illegal routes.

Acting on information from an informant
Nautanwan SO Manoj Kumar Rai said that on the information of an informer, SSB jawans cordoned off the area in Arazi Sarkar alias Bariyahwa and found four youths riding two bikes and going to Nepal via a footpath. When an attempt was made to stop them, they started running. The jawans chased them and caught them. When they were searched, 2667 ampoules of narcotic injections were recovered. Both the bikes of the accused and two sets of mobile phones have also been seized.

The smugglers caught were identified as Qutubuddin son of Salim resident of Singhpur Kala, Imran son of Gaffar resident of Parsauni Kala Tola Padrahwa, Nasruddin alias Munna son of Mo Raza Arazi Mahuwa, Pallu alias Amir Khan son of Safiq Khan. All the accused are said to be from Nautanwa and Sonauli police station area. Police challaned all the four accused under NDPS Act and sent them to court.
