After the distribution of rice from the ration shops in Auraiya, the villagers started creating ruckus against the Kota dealer alleging that plastic rice was being distributed. At the same time, the DSO told that this time nutritious fortified rice is being given. Doubt has arisen among the villagers regarding this.

Villagers Sandeep, Devendra Vikrant, Chhote, Sonu, Nishadevi Pammi, Seema of Ellie of Achalda block say that rice was distributed from the ration shop on Sunday. When cooked rice is brought home, it is not melting. Rice has to be chewed while eating. Wherein it grows when rubbed with hands. On this, the villagers apprehensive about adulteration of plastic rice in the rice and informed the inspector of the supply department and the officials of the tehsil. At the same time, some villagers have expressed the possibility of getting sick by eating it. After this, there has been an uproar over rice in the entire district.

DSO Devmani Mishra said that now fortified rice is being given to the ration card holders. In which folic acid and iron are added. Maybe that’s why the problem is happening. The rice being given at ration shops is fully certified. There is no harm in this. The apprehension will be removed by making the villagers aware about it.
