The rivers are overflowing due to the considerable rise in water level due to rain water flowing through the hills into Chandan and Jharahi alias Pyasi river of Thuthibari in the Indian border area. The Bhaurahiya Nala of Laxmipur Khurd and the famous Mahav Nala of Bargadwa have also assumed a fierce form. In such a situation, the fear of flood once again has caused worry among the common people of the village.
Due to rain water, the standing crops in the fields of farmers of Bharwalia, Lakshmipur Khurd and many other villages of Thuthibari area have been submerged. There is a possibility of flood due to heavy rain. Dharmendra Singh, a resident of Bharwalia, said that the dam of Chandan river is very sensitive. The concerned department has been negligent in the safety of the dams. Due to the dam not being repaired properly, like last year, this year also the flood water cannot be ruled out in the populated areas of the village.
Due to increase in water level, farmers’ crops have been destroyed.
