Following the instructions of the government, Commissioner Chaitra V has issued instructions to all the DMs.
Sharday Navratri will be celebrated with great pomp in the entire state with a resolve for women’s education, security and self-reliance. Religious events will be held in all the Devi temples and Durga Saptashati will be recited. Arrangements will also be made for this by the administration.

Following the instructions of the government, Aligarh Commissioner Chaitra V. has issued instructions to the four DMs of the division. DMs of Aligarh, Hathras, Etah and Kasganj have been issued instructions to prepare a list of all the Devi temples and keep an eye on religious events.
Women and girls will participate
Sharday Navratri is starting from 3rd October and will continue till 12th October. During this period, there will be programs of Durga Saptashati, Ramayana recitation, tableaux and cultural presentations at Devi temples and Shaktipeeths in all the districts including Aligarh. There will be participation of women and girls in this.
Following the instructions of the government, cleaning of Goddess temples is being done in Aligarh. Along with this, instructions have also been issued to the Municipal Corporation and municipal bodies to clean and lime the surroundings of the temples. So that the people coming to the temple during the festival do not face any kind of problem.
Police will remain alert, report will be sent to the government
There will be participation of women and girls during the program in temples. Along with recitation and worship during the day, bhajan and kirtan will be performed in the evening. During this period, if any unruly element creates any disturbance, police force from the regional police station will also be deployed on the spot.
Photo and videography of the program will also be done and its report will be sent directly to the government. For this, officers will also be deployed on the spot. All these photos and videos will have to be uploaded on the portal of Culture Department upculture.up.nic.in/hi/Navratri-2024.
