There is going to be a change in the syllabus of classes 3 and 6 from the next academic year. Officials of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) gave this information. According to the new syllabus, the pattern of books is also going to change. The new session is to start from April 1. Before this, National Council of Educational Research and Training i.e. NCERT will release books according to the new syllabus.

Bridge course will be started for class 6
According to NCERT, books are being prepared according to the new syllabus. Soon these will reach schools. Apart from this, a separate bridge course for Class 6 and guidelines for Class 3 will also be made. Actually, Class 3 is the first year of the preparatory stage in schools and Class 6 marks the beginning of middle school. Both these stages strengthen the foundation of children's education.

Teachers will also be given training for the new syllabus
CBSE Academics Director Joseph Emmanuel said that changes in the syllabus will make it easier for children to better understand the New Curriculum Framework (NCF, 2023) and adapt to the teaching-learning process. According to the New Education Policy (NEP, 2020), school heads and teachers will also be introduced to the new syllabus and will also be given training related to the teaching process.

Syllabus has been changed according to the new education policy
Changes have been made in the syllabus and books of Class 3 and 6 in view of NEP i.e. New Education Policy and NCF. NCF is a part of the New Education Policy. In 2023, the NCF i.e. National Curriculum Framework was changed for the fifth time. Last year, the Education Ministry had released the notification of NCF, 2023. Earlier changes in NCF have taken place in 1975, 1988, 2000 and 2005.

Make studies fun with toys, coloring books: CBSE
Apart from this, CBSE has also given instructions to emphasize on learning new languages, art integrated education, learning with experiments as per NCF-SE i.e. National Curriculum Framework for School Education (2023). At the same time, for the foundational stage i.e. class 1-3, it has been asked to make studies fun with toys, puzzles, puppets, posters, flash cards, worksheets, storybooks.
