District Level Committee/Goverdhan Cell meeting under the chairmanship of Chitrakoot DM Abhishek Anand was held in the auditorium of District Collectorate. In the meeting, the District Officer told that two villages of the district have to be selected under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural). In which cow dung gas plant will be installed.
Chitrakoot DM Abhishek Anand told that this cow dung gas plant will be run from the west of the model village and Gaushala. Gas can also be supplied to houses from this plant and light will also be made available to cow shelters and villages. The waste generated from it will be useful in making organic manure. Which is very important for the environment. He said that organic manure is important for agriculture. This can be done by coordinating with the FPO and the village head. The person employed by the self-help group can also be paid by selling organic manure. He said that the operation would be run by the self-help group of the village. The responsibility of running should be correct. The village head will play an important role in this. He asked the District Panchayat Raj Officer to form a selection team and get 4 to 5 villages surveyed. It should also be kept in mind that the village should be selected according to the water system, village head and geographical location.
