The Best Performer of GATE and G-PET was awarded in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University on Friday. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Vineet Kansal, said that the performance of the students has improved in GATE and G-PET for the last three to four years.
During this, 40 students were given tablets. These include 2 of architecture, 1 of biotechnology, 2 of civil engineering, 5 of chemical engineering, 4 of computer science, 5 of electronics and communication engineering, 1 of electrical engineering, 3 of electrical and instrumentation, 1 of engineering science, 1 of information technology. 2 universities, 6 of mechanical engineering, 6 of textile and 2 of pharmacy are included.
Principal Secretary Alok Kumar encouraged the students
Technical Education Secretary Alok Kumar, who was present as the chief guest, said that research promotion and innovation of talented students should be promoted. There is a need to promote research work for social upliftment and rehabilitation. The best performing students in GATE and G-PET move to PG and Research. In order to increase the interest of the students towards innovations, emphasis has been laid on the establishment of Incubation Center in each of the affiliated institutes of the University.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak said that the performance of the students of the University in the national level GATE and G-PET examinations is the result of the ongoing efforts in this direction. Prof Rajeev Kumar, Dean DSW, Prof OP Singh, Dean FOA, Prof Vandana Sehgal were also present.
