In Muzaffarnagar, New Mandi Kotwali Police had an encounter with miscreants riding a Centro car near Bilaspur Cut on the by-pass late in the evening. One miscreant was injured after being shot by the police, while his accomplice escaped taking advantage of the darkness. Police have recovered stolen batteries from 23 towers of the car.
