Heather Knight has been appointed captain of England for the T20 World Cup starting on October 3. The English team’s first match will be against Bangladesh on October 5.

33-year-old Heather was seen in a fancy dress with blackface at a kitty party of sports stars in 2012. The photo is 12 years old, which is going viral again. She has been reprimanded for this. However, the English captain has issued a statement and apologized. She has been made the captain of England in the Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in UAE next month.

Knight said- I regretted it for a long time In this case, the English Cricket Board (ECB) released Heather Knight’s statement on Monday, in which Knight said – I am sorry for the mistake I made 12 years ago. It was wrong and I regretted it for a long time. At that time I was not as educated about the consequences of my act as I am now. I had no wrong intention.
Heather said- I cannot change the past, but now I am committed to using my social media to increase equality in sports. I have to ensure that groups with less opportunities get equal opportunity in sports.
