Singer Shaan will soon be seen as a captain in the reality show ‘Indian Pro Music League’. During a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar recently, Shaan spoke on a range of issues.

He said, ‘Social media is a different world. This viral world belongs to 12 to 24 years old people. Many people tell me that now singers don’t sing as before. The truth is that these days, your song is being judged by a 15-year-old girl or boy. In such a situation, singers have to sing keeping in mind their thinking, understanding, entertainment and maturity. If I forcefully sing in that age bracket, people will not accept me. I can no longer force my 15-year-old to like my voice. ‘

I am experimenting a lot as a composer

The trend of the independent album has resumed and for me it is a full circle. I started my career as an indie-pop artist. Even after coming to Bollywood, I released a few albums but then the round changed. Now when Indie-pop of television and radio came together again, I too joined this trend. As if the idiot returned to the house. I am doing a lot of experimenting as a composer.

Bollywood is not getting opportunities now

Bollywood is not getting the same opportunities as before for singing. Now many new singers have arrived who are doing quite well. It is always the case with singers that actors, composers, production houses feel that the style of the singer is outdated which is wrong. There is no truth in it. Singer also has to keep himself updated. I have always tried to change myself and entertain people by singing songs of different genres.
