For RT-PCR test, the passenger will have to come to the airport with an additional time of 6 hours and will have to pay a fee for it. After conducting the investigation, passengers will be able to travel by air on the basis of the report.
2 accused were sent to jail for making fake reports
Some passengers going to Maharashtra had arrived at Babatpur airport in recent days with fake reports of RT-PCR test. After the information of the airport administration and CISF, the police of Phulpur police station arrested two accused for giving fake negative report of RT-PCR investigation and sent them to jail. Significantly, in view of the possible third wave of corona epidemic, it is mandatory for air travelers to carry negative reports of RT-PCR test in states like Maharashtra. Air travel is not possible without taking a negative report. Hence it has its own importance.
Decision taken for the convenience of passengers
It was informed by the Varanasi Airport Administration that in view of the convenience of air travelers, it has been decided to establish a facility for conducting RTPCR test. The passengers who will start the journey from Varanasi airport should bring 6 hours extra time and get the RT-PCR test done right here. The report will be given to them immediately.
We are looking forward to setting up rapid RT-PCR testing facility at Varanasi airport by 20th September. The award has been issued and the installation work is under process. This will provide convenience to the passengers and in the middle of the investigation report, attempts were made to falsify, such incidents would be completely curbed.
