A mother-child died during treatment in Bhagwatpur village of Pipri police station area. After the death, on the complaint of the girl’s side, the police have registered a case against 4 people including her husband and started investigation. It is being told that the marriage of the deceased married woman took place in the month of April. Since then she was being harassed for dowry.
Sujit Kumar’s son Surendra Verma, a resident of Bhagwatpur in Pipri, is a jewelery businessman. Sujit was married to Sanjana (22), daughter of Shankar Lal, a resident of Tilhapur Mod, in the month of April. Sanjana had labor pains on Wednesday night. Sujit reached Prayagraj’s Jhalwa Hospital with his pregnant wife. Where after keeping him admitted for some time, he took him to Shakuntala Hospital in Civil Lines. Where Sanjana and her newborn child died during treatment. The people of the maternal side who reached the hospital accused of conspiracy behind the daughter’s death.

Father gave complaint against in-laws
Father Shankar Lal Soni told that in April 2022, he had yellowed the daughter’s hands. To talk to the daughter, she had called on November 22, but the in-laws did not make her talk to the daughter. Sanjana’s mother-in-law called and told her to take back the sofa. The daughter was tortured several times for dowry. Shankar Lal gave a complaint to the police alleging that the daughter was killed for dowry.
Inspector said – statements are being recorded
Inspector Pipri Shravan Singh said that on the basis of Tahrir, the dead body is being taken into custody and sent for postmortem. A case has been registered against 4 people including husband. Statements of the accused and the people from the maternal side are being recorded.
