Cannes Film Festival is going to start in France from 16th May. The 12-day long festival will screen the best of selected films from around the world. Of these, the Malaysian film Tiger Strips, directed by Amanda Nel, will also be screened at the festival this year. Tiger Strips is the first film directed by a Malaysian woman to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. This is indeed a historic opportunity for the Malaysian film industry.

The film Tiger Strips will be released in theaters on 17 May 2023.

What is the story of the movie Tiger Strips?
The film Tiger Strips is the story of Zafan, a 12-year-old girl, played by child actress Zafreen Afreena Jerijal. She lives in a small village. Suddenly there are serious changes in her body and she starts behaving like a lioness. As word spreads through the school, all of Zafan’s friends shun him. The fear of demonic power spreads among the people throughout the village. Then a doctor comes and helps the people of the village.
A total of four Malaysian films have been screened at the Cannes Film Festival so far. At the same time, after 13 years, this is the first time, which will be shown during the event.

Aashiqui actor Rahul Roy’s film Agra will be screened at the world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The film is directed by Kanu Behl, while it is produced under the direction of Hindi film Saregama India Limited, UFO Production and O8 Film. Apart from this, Rahul Bhatt and Sunny Leone starrer film Kennedy is also to be shown in this film festival.

Aashiqui actor Rahul Roy will be seen in the film Agra after a long time. The film will premiere during the Cannes Film Festival.

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is ready for Cannes debut. The actress will be visiting the French Riviera in the month of May and will be a part of the grand event. French Ambassador Emmanuel Lenin himself has confirmed Priyanka’s invitation to the event.
