The Devha river has started eroding in Faridpur, Bareilly. The water from the heavy rains in Uttarakhand is flowing into this river.

After heavy rains in Bareilly in the last 5 days, many rural areas are in a submerged condition. In the last 2 weeks, only 3 mm of rain fell on Tuesday, which brought relief to the people. Flood threat has started looming in 150 villages adjacent to Devha and Ramganga rivers in the rural area.

On Tuesday, DM Ravindra Kumar took stock of the river affected villages in Faridpur tehsil area.

Flood like situation due to Devha river

The Devha river has started eroding in Bareilly. DM Ravindra Kumar inspected the villages affected by road erosion due to rising water in the Devha river and directed to stop the erosion. He said about providing safety to the people of the villages affected by road erosion. The district administration has issued a helpline number. The DM visited different villages of Nawabganj tehsil on Tuesday. More than 50 villages of Baheri and Faridpur in Bareilly are submerged.

Rain broke record in July

Bareilly received rain every day from 23rd June to 9th July. Whereas from 4th July to 8th July, it rained heavily every day. According to the Meteorological Department official, Bareilly received 362 mm of rain from 1st July to 8th July. The rain has broken the record of the entire month of July. Bareilly received the highest rainfall in the last three decades in the month of July. There are still 21 days left in the month of July.

Facing hot weather today

According to the weather department, light rain is expected today on Wednesday. This morning the minimum temperature increased by 3 degrees to 24 degrees. While the maximum temperature during the day is expected to increase by 4 degrees to 35 degrees. Today the wind speed will be 6 km per hour. Waterlogging also occurred in Baheri, Sheeshgarh, Shergarh, Faridpur, Bhuta.

Due to continuous rain, there was waterlogging in Subhash Nagar, Nekpur, Maninath and Fort areas.

The temperature has dropped by 12 degrees due to continuous rain. The temperature has started to decrease due to heavy rains every day. Due to which the weather has become pleasant. But from today, the temperature will increase and there will be humid heat.
