For the first time, fogging will be done with cold fog machines to effectively control and treat communicable diseases such as dengue, malaria, chikungunya, filariasis, scrub typhus in the city. The Municipal Corporation has used cold fog machines to do fogging by mixing chemicals in water.

This has been purchased to prevent and control mosquito-borne diseases and diseases caused by them due to waterlogging during rains. For the first time, the Municipal Corporation has purchased a cold fog fogging machine for fogging by mixing chemicals in water and a hand compression sprayer for anti-larva spraying. Its demonstration and training was given.

Use fuel only to start the engine

In the operation of cold fog fogging machine, fuel will be used only for starting the engine. Also, water will be used instead of diesel for spraying chemicals/pesticides as compared to earlier thermal fogging machine, which will also improve the financial condition of the corporation.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Lalit Kumar said that all the local citizens in Lucknow city will be made aware through publicity to not let water accumulate in pots, coolers, tyres on the roofs after the rain. The landowners of the empty plots should get the garbage accumulated in the said plots cleaned by themselves.

Otherwise, departmental action will be taken against the landowners by imposing fines for spreading communicable diseases. Additional Chief Medical Officer Gopi Lal, District Malaria Officer Dr. Ritu Srivastava and Malaria Inspector and all Zonal Sanitary Officers from Municipal Corporation and all cleaning and food inspectors, store in-charge Ashish Sharma were present in the meeting.
