Former BJP MP Vinay Katiyar has demanded that the sale of meat and liquor in Ayodhya should be banned immediately.
Former BJP MP and Bajrang Dal founder president Vinay Katiyar has said that there should be an immediate ban on the sale of meat in 14 Kosi Parikrama areas in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He said that the grand Ram temple is being constructed in Ayodhya, in such a situation, the sale of meat liquor should be restricted to about one km away from the 14 Kosi Parikrama area, for which they will talk to the DM.
Katiyar says that now things are reaching the inside of the temple in the way the Mahants are getting. It should be investigated which are trying to destroy the Vaishnavite culture of Ayodhya.
Saint should surround DM Commissioner
Supporting Paramhansa Das, the Mahant of the ascetic ashram, who is on a hunger strike demanding a ban on the sale of liquor in Ayodhya, Katiyar said that he too has asked the administration several times for this. Now we will talk about the ban. My appeal to the saints is that when action is not taken on this, then the DM commissioner should start their siege on the bungalows till the ban on the sale of mass wines is not issued.
Meat temple shops are not good at the entrance of Ayodhya
Paramahamsa Das says that liquor and meat shops are operating at the Mahobra crossroads, the entrance to Ayodhya. He had corresponded with the President of the country to ban it. He was also assured by the President that liquor and meat shops would be removed within the cultural boundary of Ayodhya.
He told that he also fasted for a week demanding the removal of liquor and meat shops. After which he ended his fast unto death on the assurance of Ayodhya Municipal Corporation Mayor Hrishikesh Upadhyay. But no satisfactory action has been taken so far.
