Pakistanโs former prime minister Imran Khan left court late Friday after being granted bail, following his arrest in a graft case which was declared unlawful by the Supreme Court.
Khanโs party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) confirmed he had left the court premises and was heading for the city of Lahore, some 380 kilometers from the capital Islamabad.
โWe have now left for Lahore. The police tried to confine us saying itโs dangerous out there. When we insisted that you are kidnapping us. Only then they relented. In about three hours we will reach Lahore,” Imran Khan said in a video message posted on PTI twitter.
