Blood samples of suspected patients were taken by setting up a health camp in Rangpura village of Soraon.

Four patients of leptospirosis have been found in Prayagraj. All four are residents of Rangpura village of Soraon. Recently, the Superintendent of Soraon Community Health Center sent samples of 20 suspected patients from the same village to the lab of Motilal Nehru Medical College.

The team was worried after seeing rats in the house

In fact, recently the Health Department team had gone door-to-door knocking in Rangpura village. In this, a list was made of those patients who were suffering from fever for a few days. Soraon CHC Superintendent Dr. Anupam Dwivedi said that during the campaign, rats were seen near the houses of some people, due to which we took samples of 20 people and sent them for testing. Four patients of leptospirosis have been found in this. Everyone is healthy. They have been given medicines.

District Malaria Officer Anand Singh says that recently lepto test of 20 samples was conducted in which people were found infected with it. He told that it is found in many people. The death rate of leptospirosis is 30%. Actually, leptospirosis is also known as rat fever. It is a bacterial infection caused by the bug Leptospira. These bacteria thrive in water and wet grounds. After this they infect pet animals or rats. The infection can spread through urine from an infected animal or through infected tissue from a dead animal. It can enter the body by drinking contaminated water or through the mouth, nose or eyes.
