According to the information, on 24th February, the HR of Ila Chandra Krishna Medical Center lodged a complaint in the cyber crime police station. He told that the cyber thugs talked to him posing as an army officer. They deceived him by asking him to pay advance fees for the examination and treatment of the officer’s wife.
After that he told that the rules of the army are different. You have to download an application. After downloading the AnyDesk app, he sent the scanner. Explaining the army’s procedure, he got the QR scan done from Ila Chandra and then withdrew 5 lakh 23 thousand 497 rupees in several installments. After this, a complaint was lodged in the crime cell.
Taking the matter seriously, Inspector-in-charge Satish Sahu formed a team. The team contacted the bank and the company and froze the accounts. After this, taking action as per the rules, all the money that went to the cyber fraudsters was returned to their account on Thursday.
Do not install the application to receive payments
The police has also issued an advisory. They say that one never needs to install any application or accept any payment request to receive money. Army personnel never send any advance payment to the doctor for treatment.
