World No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece defeated World No. 5 Germany Alexander Zverev in the ongoing French Open tennis tournament in Paris to reach the final. Tsitsipas won 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-3 in this tough semi-final match that lasted 5 sets. In the final, Tsitsipas will face the winner of the second semi-final match between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

Zverev, 24, and Tsitsipas, 22, met for the first time at the French Open. A total of 8 matches have taken place between the two so far. Of this, Tsitsipas has won 6 and Zverev has won 2 matches. Then Zverev came back and won a game and made the score 5-3. However, in the next game, Tsitsipas did not give Zverev a chance to return and won the game another 6–3 set to win the match. The match lasted for 3 hours 37 minutes.

Tsitsipas did the upset in the quarter finals
Zverev easily defeated Spain’s Davydovich Fokina 6-4, 6-1, 6-1 in the quarter-finals. At the same time, Tsitsipas reversed the match by defeating world No. 2 Daniil Medvedev of Russia 6-3, 7-6, 7-5 in a best-of-8 match.
