The spark of violence that broke out in Haldwani in protest against the demolition of illegal madrasa has reached Bareilly in UP. In such a situation, the police administration is alert in all the districts adjoining Uttarakhand. There was strict police vigil during Friday prayers in Moradabad. Moradabad SSP Hemraj Meena has ordered all the Deputy SPs and police station in-charges of the district to remain on the rounds continuously. Special care should be taken especially in those areas which have mixed population. Apart from this, police have been instructed to maintain a vigilant vigil around the religious places. Due to the riots that broke out in Haldwani in Moradabad, the police administration has increased vigilance in sensitive areas including Jama Masjid. In view of the Friday prayers, a large number of police forces were present at Moradabad Jama Masjid. Friday prayers took place peacefully under police surveillance. SSP Hemraj Meena has ordered the police to remain alert.
