On the day Congress National Treasurer Pawan Bansal made a statement not to donate money for Ram temple, his party leader Sitaram Aggarwal in the capital gave Rs 5 lakh, 11 thousand, 111 rupees for the Ram temple. Sitaram Aggarwal has donated funds for the Ram temple through check. National treasurer of Congress Pawan Bansal had said in a press conference held on 2 February at the State Congress Committee, “Some people came to me to collect funds for the Ram temple, but I refused.” Pawan Bansal was asked by the Congress’s advance organization NSUI about the one-rupee Ram’s name campaign for the Ram temple, in response to that question, Bansal gave a statement not to donate. This statement of Bansal was also disputed. Now, Congress leader Sitaram Aggarwal’s contribution to the Ram temple has led to Bansal’s statement being discussed again.
On the other hand, Sitaram Aggarwal has described the support amount given for the construction of Ram temple as a matter of faith towards Ram. Earlier, Transport Minister Pratapsinga Khachariwas has also announced a silver brick and three months’ salary for the construction of Ram temple.

Ram belongs to everyone, symbol of Rama’s culture: Sitaram Agarwal
Congress leader Sitaram Aggarwal said, “Ram belongs to everyone, Ram is the symbol of the pluralistic culture of the country, there is no one greater than or will be in the public mind of this country.” Omnipresent faith like Ram is rare, if the temple of Maryada Purushottam Ram is being constructed, then we should cooperate without asking. I have made a small cooperation in this spirit. I have faith in Ram and no ideology comes in front of my faith. Lord Rama is in the heart and mind of every citizen of this country, the name of Rama is greater than Rama.
He said that our salutation starts with Ram Ram or Jai Siyaram, you will find many non-Hindus also greeting Ram-Ram. On the question of Congress National Treasurer Pawan Bansal’s refusal to donate to the Ram temple, Agarwal said, “Faith in Ram is my personal issue, politics should not be brought to faith, every person has a different view.” It is not in my jurisdiction to comment on the statements of big leaders.
