The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2021) of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai will begin today i.e. February 5. This examination will continue till 14 February. The institute has already issued the admit cards for the candidates appearing in the examination. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website. Along with this, the institute has also issued some guidelines for the candidates, which will have to be strictly followed during the examination.

Follow these guidelines during the exam

  • Candidates have to arrive at the examination center one hour before the reporting time.
  • Candidates are required to carry a valid photo ID along with the admit card.
  • If the body temperature is above 99.4 degrees, you will have to take the exam in a separate room.
  • Candidates will be allowed to carry face masks, globs, personal hand sanitizer, pen, admit card, personal transparent water bottle.
  • While standing at the entry gate one has to follow the queues and floor marks.

Exam will be done in two shifts

This exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift exam will be from 9 am to 12 noon. While the second shift examination will be from 3 pm to 6 pm. This time, two new subjects – Environmental Science and Engineering and Humanities and Social Sciences have also been included in the exam. After which it will now be an exam for a total of 27 subjects, which will be completely computer based. This year more than 9 lakh students are expected to appear in this examination.
