The situation of 20 government ITIs of Madhya Pradesh is going to improve. They will get 1.5 to 2.5 crores rupees by the central government. This will serve four major objectives, including a 25% increase in seats for admission.
They have been selected under the World Bank-aided Skill Strengthening for Industrial Value Enhancement (STRIVE) scheme of the Government of India. The first phase included 8 government ITIs Mandideep, Khargone, Umaria, Ratlam, Balaghat, Singrauli, Chhindwara and Eklavya Mahila ITI Betul, while in the second phase 12 government ITIs Shivpuri, Dewas, Shajapur, Seoni, Katni, Tikamgarh, Chapra ( Seoni district), Harda, Chhatarpur, Anuppur, Jhabua and ITI Khandwa have been selected.
Focus on improving skill training
Skill strengthening for industrial value enhancement aims to improve the relevance and efficiency of skills training provided through ITIs and apprenticeships. Under this, 20 ITIs of the state will be given a grant of Rs. 1.5 to 2.5 crores each to increase training quality and industry linkage.
