The notification for JHT recruitment has been issued by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Under this, recruitment has been announced for the Group B non-gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator and Senior Translator for various ministries/departments/organizations of the Government of India.

Candidates can apply by visiting the official website ssc.gov.in. The last date for submission of applications for this recruitment is 26 August. Time will be given from 4 to 5 September 2024 for correction in the application. Tier-1 will be conducted in October – November.

Educational Qualification :

  • Master’s degree in Hindi or English or Master’s degree in English medium with Hindi subject (compulsory) from a recognized University/Institute as per the post.
  • Candidates must have Hindi- English Translation Diploma or Certificate Course and 2/3 years experience as per the post.

Age Range :

Between 18 – 30 years.

Salary :

Depending on the post, Rs 35,400 – 1,42,400 per month.

Exam Pattern :

  • The exam will consist of two papers. Paper I will be a computer-based exam and Paper II will be in descriptive mode.
  • Paper I will consist of General Hindi and General English and Paper II will consist of Translation and Essay. Both papers will be of 2 hours each.
  • Paper-I will contain objective type MCQs only.
  • There will also be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in Paper I.

  • Login with registration number and password.
  • If you have not done OTR registration then register first.
  • After login, click on Apply Online button.
  • Upload your photograph and signature in the required size and format.
  • Submit the form. Take a printout of it.
