The pair of Govinda and Raveena Tandon has been one of the superhit pairs of the 90s. Together they gave many back-to-back hits. Raveena told in a recent interview how Govinda used to come late for hours on the sets but even then it did not affect the actress.

‘I used to reach 5 hours earlier’

In an interview to E-Times, Raveena told that her co-star Govinda used to reach the set not one or two but five hours late, but even then it did not affect her work. Raveena said, ‘I was considered one of the favorite actresses of producers and directors. I believed that the director is the boss and when a producer has taken my dates, it is my duty to reach the sets on time.

I used to reach the sets at 9 am, knowing that my co-star Govinda would arrive by 2.30-3 pm. I used to get ready, do make-up, wear costumes, read books and sometimes even fall asleep as we used to work in 3 to 4 shifts during those times.’

i never blamed them

Raveena further said, ‘There was never any problem with Govinda being late on the set as he was a versatile actor. I or anyone on the sets never complained to Govinda about being late.

I have never blamed them. The late he used to come, the longer I used to sleep well. Then he used to wake me up half an hour before coming on the set so that I could do my touch ups and look completely fresh.

Used to prepare scenes immediately

On the other hand, the makers also had no problem with Govinda’s style of working. Even though he used to come late on the set, he used to prepare his scene immediately. Apart from this, this was the period when his films were doing wonders at the box office. In such a situation, no one ever complained to him.

Please tell that during this period every other film of Govinda used to be a superhit. He has done superhit films like ‘Dulhe Raja’, ‘Ankhiyon Se Goli Mare’, ‘Aunty No. 1’ and ‘Pardesi Babu’ with Raveena.
