The green net installed by the Nagar Nigam on the crossings in Agra could not withstand even a storm. The green net installed at Hariparvat and Sursadan crossings was torn in a 15-minute storm and was uprooted from the poles. The Nagar Nigam officials are talking about getting the net repaired.

Just 6 days ago, the Municipal Corporation had taken a new step for the two-wheeler drivers standing on the intersections during summer. The Municipal Corporation had installed a green net for the first time at Sursadan intersection. The length of the net installed at Sursadan intersection was 50 meters and the width was 10 meters. Only after this, the net was installed at Hariparvat intersection. The Municipal Corporation had installed the net with the objective that people standing at the intersection face problems in the constantly increasing temperature. The heat wave administration and the Meteorological Department had also issued a red alert.

In the 15 minute storm that came on Wednesday afternoon, the net on Sursadan and Hariparvat crossing was torn and some parts of it came off from the poles. The net hung on the road. Some poles hung on the road, which were moved to the side. The Municipal Corporation was informed about this. Local people said that the Municipal Corporation’s trial failed. The net which could not withstand the storm of 15 minutes, how will it last for the next three to four months. However, the Municipal Corporation officials are talking about getting the net repaired.
